Dr Anita Puthran

Dr Anita Puthran is a general dentist at Envisage Dental in Basingstoke, with a particular interest in restorative and aesthetic dentistry. She qualified with a BDS from Rajiv Gandhi University in Bangalore in 2004 and has since practised in both NHS and private settings across Oxford, Berkshire and London.

She completed her Eduqual Level 7 postgraduate training in restorative and aesthetic dentistry last year and is now an enhanced skills practitioner. She was the only delegate in nine years to receive the Certificate of Excellence for her case submissions on the Diploma with the Advanced Centre of Excellence in Stanmore.

Anita builds bespoke treatment plans around each patient's needs and goals, and is known for the time she gives to explaining the condition of someone's teeth and the options open to them. This approach matters most with anxious and nervous patients, who make up a significant part of her list.

Sensitivity is one of the most common concerns raised in her surgery, and it is often the thing that stops people brushing properly or eating comfortably. Supporting S3 gave Anita the chance to back a daily toothpaste designed around the causes of sensitivity rather than short-term relief, which fits the preventive, patient-led way she works.
