Dr Louisa Jarvie

Dr Louisa Jarvie is a general and cosmetic dentist, with a particular interest in prevention, and restorative dentistry. After qualifying from the University of Leeds, with an MChD, BChD and BSc awarded with Distinction, she has developed a clinical approach centred on helping patients understand not only how to treat dental problems, but why they occur in the first place. She has since completed a PGCert in Advanced Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry and currently practises as a general dental practitioner in Manchester, with a continued commitment to providing evidence-based, minimally invasive care and helping patients achieve lasting oral health.

Louisa enjoys caring for patients across all aspects of general dentistry, with a focus on restoring worn teeth, improving long-term oral health and creating confident, natural smiles. Her clinical interests include preventive, restorative and minimally invasive dentistry, tooth wear, composite bonding, Invisalign and aesthetic dentistry.

Alongside clinical practice, Louisa is passionate about patient education and believes that clear, evidence-based advice empowers people to make informed decisions about their oral health. She has also written for Dentistry Online on the impact of COVID-19 on foundation dentists.

Sensitive teeth are one of the most common concerns she sees in practice, yet many people assume it is simply something they have to live with. Supporting S3 from its early development gave Louisa the opportunity to contribute to a product designed around the science of sensitivity, combining multiple proven approaches in one daily toothpaste. It reflects the same philosophy she applies in practice: preventing problems, protecting natural teeth and helping patients achieve lasting oral health.
